How this award is decided

The council inspects the build
Only work signed off by a council building control team can be entered, never a private approver. This one was inspected and passed by Swindon Borough Council.
- 02
Judged against the regulations
Entries are judged on how the work met or exceeded the building regulations, on the technical problems solved on site, and on how the builder worked with the surveyors inspecting it.
- 03
Judged against the region
Entries are judged across the West of England by a panel of industry experts, and regional winners go forward to the national finals.
